Retail Pro International maintains an on-going research and development effort in order to provide the very best solution for Retail Pro customers, and to set and improve the industry standard.
Advances in technology allow RPI to further enhance Retail Pro and provide new features and capabilities. RPI develops and issues product enhancements and delivers the product enhancements to the Retail Pro Member.
Within 3-4 years, software becomes relatively obsolete. When this happens, a customer usually has to license a brand new system or pay for expensive upgrades.
Our Software Assurance Program protects the user's investment by providing the latest software available. A Retail Pro Member can always have the most up-to-date software.
Note: A client shouldn't necessarily upgrade their software every time Retail Pro issues updates or even a new generation. Members have access to "updates" that can correct a defect or add a feature within a software generation. Judgment has to be used in determining when a client should implement a software upgrade.
Software Assurance Fees
The Software Assurance fees for any software is always based on the current suggested list price. This is regardless of whether the software was
originally licensed at a discount.
A new Retail Pro client has one year of membership included with the initial license of Retail Pro. The standard annual membership renewal
fee is 15% of the current value of all software licensed.
On occasion, Retail Pro may elect to grant a discount in Software Assurance to clients who agree to beta test new software.
